HAAD - Emirates ID

From the June 1 (2013) onwards, residents must present their Emirates ID to the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) to process any applications or request transactions, the HAAD announced in a statement sent Thursday.
This requirement by Abu Dhabi healthcare regulatory body follows a circular issued by the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
As per this directive, both Emirati and expatriate residents must therefore s present the Emirates ID to customer service employees when submitting applications or requesting transactions. For certain applications, Emiratis must also present their Family Book, and expatriates their passports.
Jaber Saeed Al Lamki, manager of customer care and corporate communications at the HAAD, said “the Executive Council circular regarding the usage of Emirates ID in all governmental processes allows us to communicate with other government entities through the electronic link, thus facilitating the exchange of individuals’ data, and saving time and effort”.
